When applying for new service or transferring service, the following apply:
If you are an owner of the property, a requirement of the district is to have proof of ownership papers for our files. This could be a copy of the first page of the warranty deed which shows previous and current owners of the property. Along with signing two water users agreement papers and $125.00 deposit with a $10.00 transfer fee.
The customer is responsible for his/her own water lines from the meter to the house and inside the house. Different elevations will result in varied amounts of water pressure. Customers are responsible for determining the need for a pressure regulator valve.
When due to the death of a customer, there is no living responsible party or entity, the successor(s) interest in the serviced property must apply for water service and provide the district proof of ownership of the property which will include a deposit of $125.00, and a transfer fee of $10.00. In the event the sucessor(s) interest is an heir, as defined by the Missouri Statues, the above described fees shall be waived.
Concerning Renters: Landlords must sign the Landlord/Renter Agreement, which will provide the renters name in order to have water service turned on for the renter. Along with the $125.00 deposit and $10.00 transfer fee.
